    The section European Law of the Public Law Institute offers courses in the Bachelor’s Law Programme, the LL.M. Programme in European Law and the Advanced LL.M. Programme in European and International Business Law. Our research is part of the faculty research programme ‘The Progression of EU law: accommodating change and upholding values’, which focusses on some of the most pressing and relevant questions of European law.

    Assistant Professor European Law (0,80 - 1,0FTE)

    Your profile

    • Degree in law;
    • A completed PhD in the field of European Law;
    • Broad and in-depth knowledge of the law of the European Union, preferably in the field of internal market law and/or external relations;
    • Excellent research qualities and a potential to grow, demonstrated for example by (international) publications;
    • Specific research interests falling within one of the core areas of the research programme The Progression of EU law’;
    • Potential to acquire external funding;
    • Extensive experience and affinity with teaching and coordinating courses;
    • Excellent teaching qualities, demonstrated for example by teaching evaluations;
    • Excellent English, spoken and written; command of the Dutch language is an advantage;
    • In the event of equal suitability preference is for a female candidate.
